Q: What does the RECSPOT service cost?
A:   Sports and recreation organizers have varied needs for establishing or supplementing their Internet presence. We have assembled packages that include different RecSpot components.

    1) EVENT REGISTRATION SUITE - No Monthly Fee:  For organizers who value registration efficiency over building community online, the Event Registration Suite is a perfect tool for organizing individual events such as races and tournaments. This package features a home page integrated with our Event Management capabilities and allows detailed event listings and acceptance of online registrations and credit card payments. The suite also contains a subset of our Registration Manager's desktop reports.

    2) WEB PUBLISHING SUITE - $39/month: Our complete Internet publishing package for groups wanting to distribute information and build community. This suite includes all of our easy Publishing tools for building a multi-page web site, including our Story, Picture and File Managers that allow users to add content, links, and file downloads. The suite does not include our interactive Event or Facility Management tools such as online registration, facility reservation or payment acceptance, nor does it include a customer database or integrated messaging.

    3) INTEGRATED DATABASE SUITE - $89/month:   Organizations can supplement their existing web presence with the power of our integrated database engine. This suite includes all of our Event, Facility and Registration Management capabilities, but does not include our Web Publishing Suite. Perfect for groups that have invested in a graphically intensive web site but require interactive management capabilities including online registration, facility reservation and rental, acceptance of credit card payments, customer database management and integrated communications.

    4) COMPLETE INTERACTIVE WEB PRESENCE - $119/month: Everything organizers need to establish a new web presence and offer customers online access to information, events, facilities and communications. This suite includes our comprehensive offering of Publishing tools and an integrated Event, Facility and Registration Management engine.

    5) CUSTOM SOLUTIONS:   RMS can design and build custom solutions for clients with specialized needs.

If you choose to accept online registrations, rentals and payments, RMS will charge a 5% service fee on transactions..    Back to top

Q:  RECSPOT looks great, but I don't have time to enter my facilities and programs. Can someone just do it for me?
A:   Yes. We can provide a turnkey solution for establishing your department's online presence. Just give us your facility and program inventory and we will do the rest. This service is priced according to the size of your inventories, but the average cost is about $500. Once your site is established, you and your department will maintain and update it.

Q:  How will I attract visitors to my site?
A:   Your web site will be included in our growing database of sports and recreation related web destinations that visitors can search by type or location. You will begin attracting customers just by being part of our Internet family. But there are other things you can do to encourage your customers to visit.

First, promote your domain name in the marketing vehicles that you already use. Utilize your newsletters, program schedules, event banners and facility information boards to let your customers know that your new web site contains the most up-to-date information, news, schedules and changes. Always include your domain with your address, phone and fax numbers on letterhead and correspondence.

Next, ask those with complimentary sites to provide a link to yours. Link from your sponsors, vendors and community groups. Also, link from local and regional chapters of sports groups like USSSA, USYSA and Little League, as well as local league sites.

Be sure to collect email addresses on registration forms, facility rentals and other transactions. Use your contact list to send email messages to customers. Advise them of new programs, schedule changes, or solicit feedback on proposed projects. Use your site for community polls and surveys and add response addresses to your contact list. Momentum will build as more people discover the information and services you are providing online.

Q: Is my information safe?
A:   Yes. We maintain the industry's highest standard for information security. Our data center is protected by firewall technology and all payments of fees and rentals transacted on the site are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) software. To guard against fraud, transactions are protected using 128-bit encryption technology (greater than the US industry norm, which is 40-bit).
